THE CONVERSATIONAL SCHOOL OF PHILOSOPHY (aka, The Calabar School of Philosophy – CSP)

The forum has its headquarters in the University of Calabar where it is convened but membership cuts across different Universities and colleges in Africa and beyond.

The forum aims at redefining African philosophy and studies in the contemporary period through dialogical engagements known as conversational thinking hence, conversationalism and interrogationism are two methods promoted by the CSP in African Philosophy and Studies.

Conversational thinking has two components: 1. Conversational Philosophy with conversationalism as its method and 2. Interrogatory Theory with interrogationism as its method.

While conversational philosophy aims at critical and creative engagements between actors geared toward increasing literature and architectonic building of systems, interrogatory theory aims at deconstructive and reconstructive engagements with social structures and thoughts of other actors geared toward building strong social institutions and correcting faulty systems.
